MINI GOLF

GAME RULES

Who wins?

The aim is to get the ball from the tee through or over the obstacles into the hole in as few shots as possible.

The player with the lowest total of points after all 18 holes wins.

The obstacle

The ball is to be played from the teeing-off area until it has crossed the boundary line. The boundary line is the first line following the  obstacle has been drawn. After three unsuccessful attempts, the ball may be placed behind the obstacle on the white line without penalty stroke.

The scoring

Each shot counts as a point; if the ball is still not in the hole after the sixth shot, an additional point is added and the score 7 is noted for the hole.

After the obstacle

If the ball has passed the boundary line, it is played from where it is. Rolls the ball back over the  boundary line, it may be placed in front of the obstacle in the direction of the hole for the next shot.

The tee

At the beginning of each lane, the ball is to be played from the teeing-off area  The ball may be placed anywhere within the teeing-off area.

If the ball bounces off the track

If a ball jumps off the track before the obstacle (the boundary line) has been correctly passed, the next shot must be taken from the teeing-off area (without an additional point).

If the ball bounces off the track after crossing the boundary line, it's there again  to intervene where he left the lane and to continue play from that point with the next shot. No additional points are added!

The sideline

If the ball stops at an obstacle or at the barrier (lane boundary), it may be placed at right angles to the line provided. If a ball remains in a hazard, it must be put down in the direction from which it came.

FREDI`S

insider tip

The tactic

Hold the racquet loosely with both hands, which hand is uppermost and which side of the lane you are on is irrelevant - you have to feel comfortable.
Now stand with your knees slightly bent, parallel to the imaginary batting line. The view is directed downwards at the ball, the racket foot is aligned perpendicular to the direction of impact. The actual execution of the punch is done by a swinging shoulder movement with rigid wrists. It is important here that the racquet foot is always perpendicular to the imaginary hitting line.
